Day 2 of our journey our destination was Keystone, SD. About 20 miles outside of Keystone is a town called Custer. We were starving so we were looking for a place to eat and this just kind of stood out (for obvious reasons). The girls of course wanted to eat in a purple and pink restaurant. Not half bad either. The people sitting next to us happened to be from Kaysville, UT. I swear it is a crazy small world.
After lunch our next stop was Crazy Horse Memorial. It is huge (much bigger than Mt. Rushmore) and will be extremely impressive once completed. It is a work in progress.
Next stop...Mt. Rushmore (what we had been waiting for). It is very impressive. If you have never been I highly recommend it. In case you have forgotten whose heads reside here, here is a refresher: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln.
