We decided to take a little day trip northward to the International Peace Garden on the border of the USA/Canada for Labor Day. In 1932 it was constructed as a symbol of friendship. There are large 120-ft concrete peace towers, many beautiful floral gardens, reflecting pools, and more. We each took our turn straddling the countries borders. We were in 2 countries at once! On our drive we also passed Rugby, ND which happens to be the Geographical Center of North America. Who knew? Bet you can't say you've been there!
