We did it! Last Sunday our 12 week healthy living contest came to a close. We made it 12 weeks abiding by the following rules:
1. No treats
2. Exercise at least 30 minutes a day
3. Sleep at least 7 hours a night
4. Keep a personal daily goal
To reward all of our efforts, Biffy (our awesome friend who started the contest) hosted a party for all of the participants and their families. We all had to bring a treat to feast on. I can safely say I think we all feasted! We had 3 winners that ended up with perfect scores. Heather (in pic below) was one of our winners. Way to go ladies! Pictured below are some of the contest participants that made it to the party.

The next party was for Ben's dental team. We scheduled a day off from the office to do something fun together. We planned to go out to Antelope Island to go horseback riding. We made it out there and discovered that we were in some crazy peak time of a bug infestation. Just our luck. It lasts 7-10 days and we were smack in the middle. So, unfortunately we were unable to go horseback riding. We hung out at the Fielding Garr Ranch (distant distant relation--but no discount even though our last name is Garr...bummer!) for a bit.
So we rolled with the punches and formulated a new plan. We ate lunch at a park and then went miniature golfing. Just like in the office or life for that matter, some days don't turn out the way we were expecting them to but we can still make the most of the situation and have a good day anyway. So that is what we did.
